Bar Society social events are filled with laughter and fun. They are a perfect way to get to know your peers, but also to find out more about the legal career in general. There are really two classes of events.
Formal back tie events are plentiful in the year and allow you to meet with senior members of the legal profession, including highly distinguished guest speakers, allowing you to network and ask them whatever questions you may wish.
Informal student events are strictly for students and junior members of the legal profession. The aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere when you can still network and ask questions if you want to, but where you do not need to be careful about embarrassing yourselves!
